If you’re still using ChatGPT, I have a surprise for you: at the end of this content, you’ll find a list of GPTs that you can use in your activities 😊.
Â
In the meantime, since I’ve brought up the topic of ChatGPT, let me write a few lines about it.
Â
When do I use ChatGPT?
I’ve gotten used to using it quite often. I have the app installed on my phone, and it’s really convenient to access it anytime. If I want to get quick information, I no longer ask good old Uncle Google, I ask ChatGPT directly.
Now, there could be different issues related to how accurate the information is and how much trust I put in ChatGPT.
I believe it’s up to each of us to filter any information through our own judgment, whether it’s from ChatGPT, Google, TikTok, or other sources.
In the end, anyone can be wrong, or what is considered general truth might be challenged later. So I let go of that worry and trust myself to make sound decisions.
Â
Examples of how I’ve used ChatGPT:
– Most recently, I added a contract draft to ChatGPT and used it to clarify a few aspects… and I asked it to formulate some legal definitions, terms, and conditions for me.
– I’ve also used it for translations from Romanian to English and vice-versa (sometimes I write texts in Romanian and translate them quickly to post on my English accounts, or the other way around… it depends on what language I’m inspired to write in at the moment).
– I’ve requested quotes, song recommendations depending on a mood I wanted to convey.
– I’ve asked about some digital tools, like if there’s compatibility between Stripe Checkout and a WordPress plugin on my site.
– I’ve used it to generate presentation text ideas for my courses.
– I used it to come up with video ideas I could make.
– I’ve also asked for stats, like salary levels in certain fields or marketing statistics.
– I often use it for definitions.
– I’ve used it to draft ideas for posts or guides.
– I used it to analyze Excel tables with different ad data to generate some conclusions.
Â
And that’s just in the past 7 days—part of what I’ve asked for.
It’s relatively simple… anything you imagine or need, you can use ChatGPT for a bit of external support. And if you want something more in-depth, either give it more details (like much more… you can even upload models, PDF files, etc.), or use these GPTs created by others or even by yourself.
Â
Speaking of ChatGPT…
I paid for it a few times for a few months, but I noticed they let me access the premium version even without continuing to pay. They just limit usage after a certain number of interactions, which I rarely reach. So, for the past month, I’ve stopped paying for it.
Instead, I want to try Grok by X (formerly Twitter). I hang out on X quite a bit because it’s a platform where free speech is encouraged. Unlike Meta, here you can post whatever you want without risking “shadow bans” or even getting “canceled” (i.e., having your accounts closed forever for violating some obscure policy).
And Elon Musk is boasting about his new AI, Grok, which—he says—has become more capable than ChatGPT. To access Grok, you need a premium account on X. So, premium account = that fancy checkmark next to your name that shows you’re “somebody” (I’m being ironic) + a few perks like being able to write longer posts, upload longer videos, download videos, etc. + Grok.
It seems like a competitive offer, especially since it’s cheaper than ChatGPT.
And here’s a tip if you’re interested in getting a subscription: buy it from a laptop browser, not from your phone. If you buy it on iPhone, it will be more expensive because Apple takes a 30% commission on any app purchase… and Elon Musk decided users should pay that commission, not him :)).
I’ll make a video about Grok soon, but until then…
