What entrepreneurs don’t see when starting a business

What is more important to you: the destination or the journey itself?

Today I want to discuss this topic which I want to assimilate with a recent experience I had.

A few weekends ago I went on a short trip up the mountain and I realized after reaching the top that this whole trip is very similar to the road to business success.

Here’s why:

The first thing was the desire to travel and the idea of ​​reaching a mountain top where there is a cool landscape.

The same in business: first we have this desire to open a business, then business ideas come to us.

Later, we set the target: the “Piatra Secuiului” peak in Alba County (near Turda, Cluj).

In business, you also set a target that you want to reach, such as something concrete (100,000 euros for example).

Then I started the preparations and the planning: I looked at the map to see the distance, prepared my clothes and food for the journey, put on gas, made sure I had everything I needed with me and set off.

It’s the same in business: you prepare, you strategize, you plan, and then you take action.

After we got there we started to climb. (the journey doesn’t have to be solo, sometimes you need a team, a community to support you or someone by your side)

The road was quite easy at the foot of the mountain, but as we went up it became more and more difficult. During this time I lost energy, fell a few times, slipped, etc.

The same in business: less, you lose more money, others overtake you, etc.

The important thing is that throughout this journey you get up and continue. You don’t leave anyone behind and you see your way up the path, following the marked signs. If you deviate from the road you risk getting lost or injured. Various distractions can appear along the way, like people telling you it’s too hard and so on.

If you know your strengths, you are persistent, you are well prepared and you have good people by your side, it’s perfect. You can beat him and move on.

All the while don’t forget to enjoy the journey. Take more breaks. Take pictures. Laugh. feel good In the end you still get there sooner or later. Of course, it depends a lot on which route and which mountain you chose. Some routes are easier, others more difficult and demanding. You have to be realistic with yourself and your own strengths + the time and resources you have available.

At the end you reach the top and enjoy the view. You are proud of yourself for making it and especially for doing it without “hacks”, teleports or other “tricks”. The feeling is all the stronger when you know what you’ve been through and you fully feel that you deserve this victory.

Now all that’s left is to move on to the next step, the next journey, the next goal. You take them one at a time and conquer them step by step.
