How much do you know about food?
How does food influence our daily lives?
What repercussions can occur if we do not master this subject?
Over the past year I have learned more and more about food and how it can help or harm us the most, depending on the choices we make.
If you’ve ever talked to professional fitness trainers or dietitians, you know well that food influences up to 90% of losing weight or building muscle mass and the remaining 10-20% is influenced by the sports activity itself.
I found out after many studies and discussions with different experts (both from Romania and international) that most diseases are caused by improper nutrition:
– too much sugar
– too many carbohydrates
– too much gluten
– too much lactose
– too much processed food
– too much meaningless food
More specifically, I will tell you some examples for each element mentioned above:
1) Too much sugar:
– energy drinks, juices, cakes, candies, chocolate, syrups
2) Too many carbohydrates:
– pasta, pasta, pizza, fries
3) Too much gluten
– bread, cereals, cakes and hundreds of foods containing gluten
4) Too much lactose:
– milk, cheese, cheese and everything that comes from cow’s milk and contains lactose
5) Too much processed food:
– semi-prepared foods from the store, salami, burgers (Mc type), shaorma, sweets, juices
6) Too much junk food:
This includes all the food you might eat that you don’t need. It depends on the context.
Anyway, these are just a few examples that came to mind.
I am not a nutritionist nor an expert in all these things.
I just want to give you a warning if you are in this area.
Because what we eat matters.
At the moment maybe it’s ok. Maybe we feel good, invincible, “let’s just say no one has died since childhood”…
The point is that most diseases develop over time, not overnight.
Plus, if you often feel tired after eating, it means that what you ate is either too much or not very good for the body.
One of the most powerful examples I can give you about nutrition is from the story of Dr. Terry Whals.
Her story, in short, is as follows:
Dr. Terry Whals was put to the test of her life and ended up with a very difficult to understand disease. It is an autoimmune disease.
This disease develops in the brain and affects the proper functioning of the body.
Basically, her immune system was fighting her own body.
In time, she ended up in a wheelchair.
For 10 years, being a doctor at the base, she did hundreds of researches and took all possible medications from the pharmacy industry.
He tried numerous cures and treatments and nothing worked.
She didn’t give up.
He continued to study and then learned more and more about nutrition.
He began to experiment on mice and then on her, in terms of some of the sera administered.
After years of pain and research, Terry Whals ended up speaking at a Ted Talk, in front of millions of people, standing on her own two feet.
After 10 years in a wheelchair, Terry Whals was able to walk again.
How did he succeed?
Meditation?
Enchantments?
Spell?
Not.
He developed a food system based only on 100% natural food:
– completely gave up gluten
– completely gave up food sugar
– completely gave up lactose
– completely gave up processed food
– he eats 1 kg of vegetables and fruits daily, from which he gets all kinds of vitamins
– eat a maximum amount of protein per day, and that taken only from animal meat and fish
I don’t know how familiar you are with what such a diet means, but basically, think of eating French fries, eggs, milk, pate, salami, burgers, pizza, yogurt, etc. every day. and you have to give up everything and replace with: broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, lowcarb food.. even get to a ketogenic diet.
And to top it off, this is exactly the food we need every day.
For thousands of years, people lived well and got all their vitamins from this food.
But because of the capitalism, the consumerism we live in, most of these foods have been replaced by processed food made for quantity, not quality, + hard drugs.
I, in the last 4 years, have not been to the doctor at all. I also did analysis. Completely healthy.
Because I don’t eat all the crap they sell us anymore.
I became more selective.
I care about my body and those around me, that’s why I’m writing this email to you.
Therefore,
Instead of eating crap and frequenting hospitals, let’s eat healthy and frequent gyms and sports parks.
Food is part of our life.
It is what concerns us almost every day.
Why not make it work in our favor?
